Model: TL-WR902AC
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I purchased the WR902AC travel router from Amazon in May 2024. I followed the quick setup and the device was working smoothly. Two days ago the device was unplugged for approximately 10 mins. Since plugging in again the device is no longer detecting the internet connection. The internet connection is picked up when plugging the Ethernet cable directly into the laptop but when connecting the Ethernet to the WR902AC this isn't working. The power and internet lights are blinking on the WR902AC whilst the Wi-Fi light remains steady. Devices are recognising the Tp-link network however there is no internet connection available when trying to connect. I have tried resetting the device and logging in through the tplinkwifi.net site. When attempting this, an error 90404 code is generated. Any suggestions?

After less than a month of use, this is very disappointing. :(

Hi,

I would say try one more time to reset the TL-WR902AC by following these steps:

1) unplug the Ethernet cable from the TL-WR902AC and also unplug any USB device in case there is one plugged in
2) only have the power adapter connected to the TL-WR902AC
3) actuate the little three-position "Mode" switch to ensure it is indeed firmly in one of the three available positions and not in some in-between state
4) reset the TL-WR902AC by pressing and holding the little "Reset" button for about 8 seconds
5) wait about three minutes

If after three minutes the "Power" light still keeps blinking, then I am afraid the TL-WR902AC must be defective.
