AX72 V1 Router Hang
AX72 V1 Router Hang
Hi, everyone.
My router every 7-8pm will hang and unable to recover until I reboot the modem.
The WiFI connection is on however the internet is down.
The Internet LED light on the router will turn off but other LED light will still on(Green).
When i want to check the log,I am unable to log in to the management web. Its show operation failed.
Anyone know what's is going on?
Here is my current router configuration.
Below is the video for reference,

And other than that, when I put my mesh node to the switch as configuration below, the switch will not functioning. All node are connected via ethernet CAT 6 cable. The switch is qnap qsw 2104-2t.
Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your update.
If local support is taking troubleshooting with you, that couldn't be better.
BTW, please make sure to keep latest firmware for your devices.

Hi @Marvin_S,
It's happening again, and I'm not sure why. Local support mentioned that the EX511 EasyMesh isn't compatible with the AX72 EasyMesh because one is an ISP router and the other is a SOHO router. However, I'm not convinced, as I understand that the EasyMesh protocol should work across devices from different vendors or routers that support EasyMesh. If there are compatibility issues, shouldn't TP-Link check their firmware and release an update?
Could you please assist in submitting this issue to the relevant department for further investigation? I believe other users might also be encountering similar problems.

Hi Jasson,
At the beginning, sorry, I did not realize the issue came from the Easymesh network, according to your description. So my troubleshooting suggestions mainly focused on Archer AX72.
Please refer to Q4 in the article first. Theoretically, TP-Link EasyMesh will work with any EasyMesh-certified products due to the standardized EasyMesh technology. However, EasyMesh networking methods can vary based on the manufacturers. For your case, Archer AX72 is our common wireless router model, but EX511 is a customized model by some ISPs in your local region, so their design may be slightly different in some aspects. That may be the reason of your current problem. Also, Archer AX72 can be managed by Tether app and EX511 should be managed by another app which is called Aginet.
How about using one of your EX511 to replace AX72 then checking the network stability?

Hi @Marvin_S
I tested the EX511 as the main node, and the hang issue did not occur. I initially selected the AX72 because it’s a higher-end device compared to the EX511, but it struggled to establish a stable network. I’ve now replaced the AX72 with the GE800 and will monitor its stability. If the GE800 also experiences hang issues, I may consider moving away from TP-Link products altogether.
As advise from the tplink customer support, I reported this issue to my ISP, but my ISP couldn’t reach Aginet and advised me to contact TP-Link. However, TP-Link support referred me back to the ISP, creating a deadlock between the two without resolving the issue. We are not able to do any support request from Aginet.
Anyway, Thanks for your help and advise.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience caused.
If EX511 works as main router and other EX511 work as satellite router, that cannot meet your needs? Did you ever consult your ISP whether they have other models managed by Aginet app, which is more advanced than EX511? As I know, Archer GE800 is also managed by Tether app.
If the network gets unstable with using Archer GE800 and EX511, please feel free to let us know!

Hi @Marvin_S,
Currently, the GE800 is functioning as the main node, while the EX511 serves as the slave node, with no hang issues detected.
I consulted my ISP, and they advised me to contact TPLINK support, as they only handle manufacturing defects and not firmware issues. They did suggest an alternative brand, the Xiaomi AX3000, but I believe it's CPU performance not powerful than the AX72 and I don think replace to another model/brand is a good solution. Other than that, XIAOMI AX3000 also did not support easymesh protocol, if i made the change, then whole router had to repurchase.
From my observations, it seems like there may be a problem with the AX72 firmware. Even after placing a fan underneath the router and running the AC 24/7, the issues persist.
Anyway, I will continue monitor the GE800 with EX511 and along with AX72 to see whether the hang issues is still persist or not.
Thanks.
