Sky FTTC, Deco X50 DSL, DECO X50 mesh system

I have the AX3000 Deco X50 mesh system, I subscribe to HomeShield.

I am moving to Sky broadband FTTC, can I add a Deco X50 DSL to my system and use instead of the Sky router?

I believe you can, it is explained here.

What benefits do you expect by using a Deco instead of the Sky modem?
