My pc is connected via Ethernet cable though the powerline adapter.
my powerline connection between the adapters would randomly disconnect from time to time.
Supported pointed me to this http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-409.html
I finally get an opportunity to troubleshoot (family went for vacation) tried to turn off and disconnect every electrical devices in my house for a few days when i am not using the computer.
yet the random disconnect still persist.
Anyone have a clue what is going on?

With random disconnection, how about status of lights on powerline adapters? Check status of local area connection. Any IP address obtained?

not really sure about the light status (didn't pay attention)
the LAN connection is fine, my ip address remained the same, it was the connection between the TL-WPA4220 and TL-PA4010 got interrupted.
I tried to disable power saving, I need some time to tell if it works or not.
my firmwares are
500A-1.1.0.844-01_422911_140304
and
1.2.8 Build 140401 Rel.49960n
the LAN connection is fine, my ip address remained the same, it was the connection between the TL-WPA4220 and TL-PA4010 got interrupted.

WPA-4220KIT. I get this every other day or so, if not daily. Unplug both ends of the device and reconnect them and BAM it works like a charm for a day or so if I'm lucky. I've tried disabling the power save features via the utility found elsewhere in these forums and it doesn't make a bit of difference.
Firmware 1.2.8 Build 140401 Rel.49960n
H/W revision WPA4220 v1 081C7015.
Getting pretty fed up with this. I've flashed the firmware already. From looking at these message boards the problem seems chronic with this device. Unless some magic solution is made available I'm buying a different brand of powerline device and this time around doing my research beforehand.

To configure static IP on your PC should be able to solve the problem. If you don't mind, give a try.

I have a static IP set for both the powerline adapter and a DHCP reservation for what's on one of the two ethernet ports. The second port goes to a wireless AP/switch. If all devices connected to the powerline adapter need static IPs set in order to have it be reliable that's a pretty ugly flaw with the product. I cant imagine that's normal operation.Vivian wrote

i was/am using static ip since the beginning.

How often does it happen? Take them to service center and have a test.
