Deco app is annoying
I have one x50-5g + two x20
A. IoT network will appear only if one of the x20 is set to main (but my main is the x50 with a sim card)
B. In None of them the management of the networks as one will expect, can't bind to a specific network (scoping) by Mac address so a non IoT will be transferred to main/guest network and IoT devices that has connected to the main will still get an IoT range ip address.
C. Isn't the idea of having an app is to have more or less Uniformity? With a disabled an enabled features to all my Deco devices on the network? Without the need to make one the main in order to do something?
I'm begging to regret ever getting a tp-link Deco.

The main, guest and IOT "wifi networks" offer some isolation, but all devices are in the same subnet. A device must know the wifi password to connect, they should not be "transferred" to another network if the password is not provided by the device.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
Deco X50-5G_1.1.7 doesn't support "IoT Network". The 1.2.0 version here does:
Deco X50-5G_V1_1.2.0 with IoT and CPU Optimization
It is allowed to set different SSIDs for Main/IoT/Guest Networks. I think if you want to lock devices to a certain network, it would be better to give them different SSIDs.
For " IoT device that has connected to the main will still get an IoT range IP address ", I think you can try to edit its device type to "Mobile" for example to see whether it helps.
Satellite Mesh units would automatically sync the network configurations from the main Deco. I think picking one as the main unit is to let the follower know what to inherit, especially when there are different Deco models among the Mesh system.
Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP I am not sure about updating the firmware manually (Warranty), why the automatic update don't just update it?
I think I just got more disappointed with tp-link.
And as said I have 2 x20 connected to the main x50-5g the entire idea of having to have the ability limited to only what the main one can offer is lacking to say the lease.
I just hope by next update (automatic one) things will look better.

@Bar666xp You can link IP addresses to MAC addresses.
Does you third party mesh act as an AP or as a Router? If it acts as an AP (no NAT), the Deco will see each device as coming through wire, and will attach them to the main network. If it acts as a Router, the deco will not see those devices, it will only see the Router.

BTW will I need to update the firmware manually when it will be out of beta and out as official new f/w or will the auto update do it?
