Model: Archer GE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20240819 rel.63839

Hello TP-Link Community,

I'm seeking assistance with an issue l've encountered while setting up my TP-Link

GE800 router with a 2.5G GPON module.

Setup Overview:

  • Router: TP-Link GE800
  • GPON Module: 2.5G GPON SFP (working correctly at 2.5Gops on other devices)
  • ISP: TM Unifi with VLAN and PPPoE settings correctly configured
  • Connection Issue: The GE800 router only recognizes the GPON connection as 1000Mbps Full Duplex instead of
    2500Mbps Full Duplex.

Steps Taken:

  1. Tested the GPON on other devices, and it correctly runs at 2.5Gbps Full Duplex, confirming that the GPON module is functioning as expected
  2. Configured the VLAN and PPPoE
settings on the GE800 according to my ISP's requirements (TM Unifi), and there are no connectivity issues, only the speed limitation.
  3. Checked the SFP settings and port configuration on the GE800 but couldn't find any option to manually set or change the negotiation to 2.5Gbps.

Request for Assistance:

To assist with troubleshooting, l'm happy to share the EEPROM bin file of the GPON module for review. Please let me know if this helps diagnose the issue or if there are any specific settings or configurations needed to enable 2.5Gbps Full Duplex.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi, thanks for your update.

Sorry that I failed to find the model of your 2.5GHz GPON module, could you please check again? Usually you can find it on the label of the device itself.

Nice to see that you got the XM60A.
Could you please be so kind and share the OMCI MEs 7,256 and 257?

I want to see, if it is white listed at "Deutsche Glasfaser"
