As far as I can establish, we've not had new firmware for the VR2800 for ~2 years, with the last drop - Archer VR2800(EU)_V1_220512 - being published here: -

on/around August 2022

Does this suggest that the box is (a) end-of-life or (b) perfect ?

Just wondering ?

If you don't have any issues with the device, I would suggest (b) since it's not in the TP-Link EoL list.

Edit: As of 28.11.2024 the EoL lists have been updated and the VR2800 is with EoS status.

@david_hay The VR2800 is on the "EOL List for Home Network" with 4/21/2020 as the "EOS Date".

Thanks @@genji_shimada and to think, I bought the VR2800 from Currys here in the UK in May 2023 😱
