Frustration.
Have brought the TL-WA850RE to relative, to install the Extender.Had good experience with TP-LINK. Unfortunately, this time, it's everything but good.
Do not have access to the WiFi router at the moment (at the ISP management); using the quick step by step instructions from manual. Does not work. I can access the page by browser, tried that way multiple times, no connection to WiFi router established and - of course, no Internet as well.
Main issue is that, very, very basic extender, very cheap one (noname), worked very well, no configuration frustrations, no issues at all.
I did read already those other forum's discussions about issues with TL-WA850RE and, must say, frustrations are now on higher levels.
Is it possible that this device does not have any internal checkings about existing subnet details on main; host device (after I choose the main WiFi device as a host device for extender)?
Is there any possibility to check logs at the device with clear instructions what to do if this or that issue is happening?
Is there a clear example about possible issues related to IP address conflicts, and/or situations when IP addresses are at the different subnets, after using those default settings.
Again, at the moment, I may not be able to reconfigure, to do anything at the host device, I just have the SSID, password, which I am using at the extender as well. When accessing the extender using browser, I can see that connection to router is nor established (of course, connectivity to Internet does not work).
What would be fastest solution for this? Thank you.
