I have a question.
I have a setup of 3 Deco X50 POE all are wired to a switch (wired backhaul).
Deployment in AP mode.
My question is does the sattelites remain operational if main Deco is shutdown?
For that specific setup, with Deco mesh running in AP mode and Satellite Deco using Ethernet backhaul, Satellites should remain operational when Main Deco is shutdown.
This is what you should see when Main Deco goes offline:
LED on Satellite Deco switches to RED
WiFi coverage and Internet access through Satellite Deco will continue
When opening Deco app, it'll recommend to elect one of Satellite Deco as new Main Deco
