Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Hi- I have 5 Deco m5 in AP mode connected via Ethernet to a single LAN switch, with the switch connected to an Archer vr2800 modem router

These are a mix of v2 and v3 units all on the latest FW release

currently one of the v2 units is the "main" deco

questions:

So I'm assuming that the Ethernet backhaul funnels all traffic through the "main" deco is that correct?

In this scenario does it matter which is the main deco? I guess not? Is there any advantage to it being one of the v3 ones rather than v2?

In your network setup, Satellite Deco will not send Internet traffic through Main Deco. Satellite Deco will send Internet traffic directly through Archer vr2800 modem router.

It does not matter which one is the Main Deco.
