Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi All

I currently have a VR2800 because I needed the DSL modem. I have now switched to a new service which negates the need for the DSL modem , but I do need a WAN ethernet port and the "dynamic" ip internet connectivity option along with at least two more ethernet ports.

I guess its sometihng like the Vr2800 but without the DSL modem .

I would also like it to have the TP link mesh capability which the VR2800 doesnt have.

This is for a large residential property , currently 30 attached devices. ( TV, laptops , phones and ip devices etc )

Any suggestions...dont want to go over the top and break the bank !

VR2800 has a wireless router operation mode that you can use with your new iSP.

In this mode LAN4 is used as a WAN port and its IP address can be assigned dynamically.

If you insist on a mesh feature you could consider Archer AX55.

I never used a VR2800 but I believe that AX55 is good enough to replace it, judging by both devices technical specifications.
