VR2800
Landline doesn't work after I have installed as per directions. TP support dude says the router is not meant for phones. Can this be true?

It depends on how does the phone connect to the VR2800; if it is VOIP phone, then it won't work, cause there is no phone port to connect, and it does not support VOIP function.
While if the phone connect to the VR2800 by wired cable or wirless, then the phone should work as long as they can access internet.
Besides, there are some products support VOIP function, like Archer VR2800V, Archer VR600v, Archer VR900v.
Good day.
