Having downloaded the updated firmware for Tp-link UK site, I'm unable to 'unzip' teh file either using the Archive Utility or UNzip One app which is proported to be able to deal with any file.

The unzipped file isn't accepted by the Tp-Link software/app. So a bit at loss to know what to do.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

What are the error messages you get shown when you try to unzip the file "RE450_v3_201203.zip" ?

In case there are no errors shown by Archive Utility or Unzip One, have you followed the steps outlined in the accompanying document "How to upgrade TP-LINK Wireless Range Extender(tplinkrepeater.net version).pdf" exactly as written? (specifically "Part B")
