Besides the beta firmware, it is also planned to release the official firmware for Band selection. Keep an eye on the official website or router web GUI for the new updates.
If you are not sure about how to select the band manually on the router web interface, check the instructions below:

Re:[Solution] Manual Band Selection for 4G WiFi Routers
This below is my original message from almost 1 year ago.
I have changed mobile internet provider and will get a stronger signal now.
But I still do not understand which firmware I should use:
• my current version (1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 201204 Rel.66940n) manual band choice
• upgrade online to v (1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n) Version my router wants to upgrade to
• on the support page a version called: Archer MR600(EU)_V1_210608 Only for France?
Please please - just fix this problem so that the product automatically updates to a version that works!
But first tell me which of the 3 versions above I should use.
---------------
I have a Archer MR600 V1 purchased in July 2021.
I wonder how to navigate which firmware version is considered new, BETA of one type or BETA of another type?
And which BETA has the manual band selection that works and is the absolute latest "temporary" solution?
A few weeks ago I noticed this band choice problem and spent (literally) hours reading about this issue here of this forum. (not what I had planned!)
So I then went through the real trouble of installing this my current version (1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 201204 Rel.66940n).
The text "Build 201204" is the date correct? So December 4, 2020? So 10 months ago? I used the Utility tool and installed it.
It gave me the choice to choose bands manually. But it seems unstable (I have to reboot alot) and has that "confidential" message written sideways on the web interface.
Not so professional.
NOW when I look at the web interface on my device (http://tplinkmodem.net/) it says I can upgrade online to v (1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n)
Now that date: "Build 200511" seems to be May 11, 2020? That is 16 months ago! So this is an earlier OFFICIAL upgrade I am offered to do from a later BETA and that most likely does not include the manual band choice? Please answer...
BUT on the support page (https://www.tp-link.com/se/support/download/archer-mr600/v1/#Firmware)I can see a version called: Archer MR600(EU)_V1_210608 and Published Date: 2021-06-10 So this is what? A newer BETA? This was published 3-4 months ago? Does it include Manual band choice?

hello all,
I need some information too (like @Durkster, do you have any update?)
where can I find detailed change logs about fw?
Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200417-rel75138]_up_boot_2020-04-20_08.44.31
Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[201204-rel66940]_up_boot_2020-12-04_19.05.35
Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[210419-rel57502]_up_boot_onemesh_beta
Archer_MR600v1_1.2.0_0.9.1_[200511-rel44954]_up_boot_2020-05-11_16.11.10
Archer_MR600v1_1.3.0_0.9.1_[210608-rc66100]_up_boot_2021-06-08_18.29.15
my situation:
actually I have 1.1.0_0.9.1_[201204-rel66940] but the router suggest me the 1.2.0_0.9.1_[200511-rel44954] that is older right?
but on support site there is the newest 1.3.0_0.9.1_[210608-rc66100] .. why don't suggest me this?
- all of these have the band selection?
- all after 1.1.0_0.9.1_[201204-rel66940] have the fix about SMS?
- is there a possibility to see which cell ID is linked to?
- and why so many firmware with different options not included in later versions?
- and why on web emulator the firmware is so old (Firmware Version:1.0.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190222 Rel.56723n)?
thanks in advance if anyone can help me!!
I always liked tp-link products, but it's necessary a more bit of continuity and support.
It's not a fierce criticism, but it's fair to say that.

Is an official firmware for the MR600v1 in work that supports band selection? Or do we have to use the "secret confidential" 2020 beta which is missing two security updates forever?

hello,
in another forum (unofficial but with responses)
I read this sad message:
"Now I have downloaded the official latest f/w for the router.
Archer_MR600v1_1.3.0_0.9.1_ [210608-rc66100] _up_boot_2021-06-08_18.29.15
After this, it is shown on the Firmware page that f/w is up to date.
So now I can state that the setting for 4G band selection that is in the beta version and which was what I used to stop jumping is gone!"
So no damn .... the 1.3.0 release candidate (middle 2021) don't have band selection that is included in the debug version of late 2020! And I suppose is missing SMS fix too.
I report here the message and the forum (sweclockers. com/forum/trad/1639349-tp-link-archer-mr400-eller-mr600-erfarenheter) because so many have my same doubts and questions and the credits is correct give to author.
No other words are necessary I suppose ..
R.I.P. dear TP-Link router
