Besides the beta firmware, it is also planned to release the official firmware for Band selection. Keep an eye on the official website or router web GUI for the new updates.
If you are not sure about how to select the band manually on the router web interface, check the instructions below:

It seems the version numbers for beta firmwares are highly confusing, is there a way to correlate build dates and revision numbers so I can see if there's a newer version I can use?
in my case, on an archer mr400 v3, I have: Firmware Version:1.11.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200325 Rel.56677n
how can I tell if this is newer or older than: LTE_GATEWAYv3_1.11.0_0.9.1_up_boot(200325)_2020-06-12_15.48.55.zip
the installed firmware has a build number, the downloaded one has a build date, or am I missing something?
(edit) could it be that 200325 refers to: 2020-03-25 and therefore 2020-06-12 is newer?
ISTR I updated the firmware pre-covid (not sure) so I would expect a date pre-2020.

Hi, sorry for the confusion caused.
As you can see, the beta firmware available on this thread for MR400 V3 is: LTE GATEWAY_20200325, the numbers here indicate the build numbers of the firmware version.
Since your current firmware you have now is Firmware Version:1.11.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200325 Rel.56677n, which has the same build numbers(200325 means the date20200325), so they are actually the same firmware, please check if you have the option to select 4G band manually on your current firmware.

Thank you so much for your helpful reply.
I can select band, however the firmware has other shortcomings (stability, lack of current https support) so I was curious to see if there was a newer option which includes band selection.
As the mr400 is still on sale here (I have not checked which version) I thought it likely that further firmware development might have happened in the intervening years.
Once again, thank you for your assistance.

Hi, based on the screenshot, your web interface shows Orange Flybox, may I know if this product was got from your ISP?
Besides, the SIM card status shows No SIM card detected, it is recommanded to insert a working SIM card, try restarting the router with SIM card inserted.
By the way, it seems that your product issue is irrelevant to this post, you could start a new thread if there is any further issue.

After installing the latest firmware, if the 3G/4G information is still all blank, it is recommended to contact the retailer where you bought it to check warranty.
