If you pressed the button too long, powerline adapters will stop the communication, and then your will lose internet as the connection to your router is disconnected.

Did you contact your ISP to check the line? Go to Advanced setup---ADSL, change ADSL mode to ADSL2 or G.DMT, Save and wait about 2 minutes to see what happens.
