Regarding the DHCP server Auto-on concern, I believe this article can explain it. This feature is called Smart DHCP. If you need it to be permanently off, then please choose off as you did on its web management page.

To address the instability issue, we need more details about its behavior. When the C6 becomes unstable, do client devices still receive the correct IP address and DNS servers from the gateway router when connected to the C6's wireless network? If they do receive the correct settings but cannot access the internet, please check the LED status on the C6 during this time.

Have you ever tried connecting other APs to the Keenetic Hoper DSL router to see if it maintains a stable connection?

Unfortunately, there is no function to disable smart dhcp among others.

even in the discussion on the link people talk about something similar

I even tried to disable dhcp in router mode first and then switch it to access point mode, but after rebooting it still turns on its dhcp

screenshot of missing dhcp network settings

even when i am connected with ethernet cable from archer c6 it periodically drops connection.

it receives an IP from the main gateway keenetic, but the connection is constantly reset due to the presence of a second dhcp server for several seconds

I also sent a screenshot earlier of how this manifests itself at the ping level to the main gateway (192.168.2.1)

Previously, I always connected tp lnik archer by simply disabling the dhcp server on it and setting a static ip address on it in the required subnet and connecting a cable from the network to LAN archer. I didn't put the router into access point mode.

and they all worked as separate access points with their own separate SSID

now it is possible to connect routers that support easy mesh via ethernet cable

well and in case if the main gateway and dhcp server is not tp link archer, then we have the above-described problems.

if Archer C6 is a gateway and dhcp server, there are no such problems

Hello, I have a BE800 in AP mode and a RE800 as extender.

If i switch these devices, the RE800BE in AP mode and the BE800 in satellite easymesh mode, is it possible to work? Any idea ?

Does extender in AP mode supoort easymesh ?

( I think no but if somebody knows I'm interested)

@Kevin_Z Hi is this something new? Currently i have 2 Archer C6 router,Let me explain how i set it up first,Both routers reset and updated to latest firmware and then i connected Router A to the ISP Modem and configured it by the PPPoE username and password provided by ISP and didn't change any other settings in router web page, after that i connected Router B to Router A via easymesh and then connected a Ethernet cable from router A LAN port to router B WAN port,it shows as Ethernet back-haul connected,is this configuration ok? or is there something i need to change? please do let me know your response is highly appreciated

Nope. RE800BE doesn't support EasyMesh when working in AP Mode.

If you require them to establish EasyMesh connection, you will need to configure the BE800 in Router Mode at the moment.

Can I know the reason why you require the main EasyMesh device to work in AP mode? If you're concerned about the double NAT in your network, you may consider switching your front-end modem into bridge mode to avoid it.
