Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: latest

having recently upgraded my home network to onemesh I'm a bit puzzled as to why my wpa8631P won't show in the tether app when I'm sat on top of it.

I've reset the thing and re-setup the whole network of router and 2 power line (wpa7617) and 2 WiFi extenders (RE300)... all work fine and show on the TP PLC & Tether apps except the WPA8631P which won't allow itself to be connected to the Tether app.  Works fine one both TP PLC app and windows program.

I've updated firmware to the latest.

What next?  Or is it broken?

Thx

Hello   @gasinclair

TpPLC APP in GooglePlay or APP store  are designed to manage or set up TP-Link Powerline device (Wi-Fi kit),  Tether app are for router and range extenders :

Hope this help answer the question.

Hi @Solla-topee,

it doesn't really answer my question as i have a couple of WPA7617 powerline extenders which show in Tether, whilst WPA8613P does exactly the same wifi/ethernet with additional ports.

i've uninstalled both TpPLC and tpTether apps as the router admin is a more reliable and trustworthy means of control.

thanks

Hello   @gasinclair

Thank you for more information, even though Tether 'accidentally' find local power line device the powerline device can not be managed by the app,  the UI of tpPLC app for powerline devices are pretty different from the UI of tether app.

It's good to know now you are now use the web UI to manage the devices.
