Hello!
Just bought the modem/router in subject, and I've manually configured with apparently with no issues...

Let me explain better.

First of all I've immediately upgraded to the latest firmware version ( Archer VR1210v(IT)_V1_190719) like stated everywhere  :)

The modem connects very well to the network (ADSLv2, PPPoE...) very well and works like a charm.

On the other hand, I've configured the internal network interface on the network 192.168.0.x with DHCP on the range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.50.

I've 12 wireless and 3 wired  devices.

At first everything works well. After let's say 30mins some of the wireless devices are not reachable anymore from the other devices (eg. I've 4 security cameras which I ping from an iMac and they do not reply anymore)

for some of them, they are reachable from a wired devices, while some other are not reachable anymore.

I reboot the device (or the Archer) and everything starts working fine again. After a short time... The problem occurs again...

I really do not know what to do, anyone experienced the same issue? I'm right then and there to give it back...

thanks and ciao!

@lean

Hello, please help us confirm the information below first to locate this issue and try to fix it.

1. What is the light status of the Archer VR1210V when it goes offline?

2. For those devices that drop the connection, please click here to get the IP address and default gateway it obtained? And try to ping the IP from local device which works well.

3. Meanwhile, please try to access the web page and take a snapshot of the status page.

@Kevin_Z

I have an identical problem.

Interested device: Archer VR1210v, Firmware vers.:2.0.0 0.9 v6041.0 Build 190719 Rel.30362n ; Hardware vers: Archer VR1210v v1 00000000

The described problem occurs with wi-fi for sure. At the moment I can't try with LAN cable.

Initially all works correctly, but after few minutes, if I try to ping the IP 192.168.1.105 from the IP 192.168.1.101, I receive this output:

$ ping -c 10 192.168.1.105
PING 192.168.1.105 (192.168.1.105) 56(84) bytes of data.
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=4 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=5 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=6 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=7 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=8 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=9 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.1.101 icmp_seq=10 Destination Host Unreachable

--- 192.168.1.105 ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 0 received, +10 errors, 100% packet loss, time 9400ms

I noticed that the message 'Destination host unreachable' is from the machine that is sending the ping (i.e. 192.168.1.101), I don't know if it is normal.

However, both 192.168.1.101 and 192.168.1.105 have access to internet normally.

I can't find the cause of this strange behavior of the modem router because I made several tests using several devices with the same outcame.
In the case described, both devices were running a minimal linux distro (sysrescue cd) without any firewall.
Each device was configured properly: subnet mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1

When 192.168.1.105 is not reachable, the ip of the router remains reachable:

$ ping -c 10 192.168.1.1
PING 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data.

@damriya

I'm glad the device works well for you, but that doesn't solve my problem.

...and we are not complaining about connection to ADSL or whatever. We are complaining about wifi. @piero, I really suggest you to return it. I've contacted the support but they really do not know how to help

@anto121

In my case the router page is even reachable. However there are too many issue in the firmware of this router.
May be these bugs related to italian version of firmware?

I don'know....

same router same firmware, same issues it works the wifi for a couple of minutes than some device go in sleep mode... If I reboot the router or restart the wifi service the device works again. I wrote to tech support but no answer. i see that many other brands has this issues, but the configuration of beacon frequencies and DTIM configuration solve the issue. This two points aren't changeable in this model of router. I'm evaluating to change router again.

@albert772

Set value group key update period in advanced wireless settings to 0 in both 2,4 and 5 GHz bands.

it is a workaround for the moment. We'are waiting a final fix.
