@Mark-R Hi Mark. Can I ask which open source you went with? I moved from TP-Link (waste of time and money) to Orbi for network and ring for camera. I'm not happy with either cloud/subscription model....

@BrianThoms It looks like you can have a non-working system ALL the time or only when the WAN is down. Not much of a choice is it?

@Ronix73 Unfortunately this solution does not work either. As soon as the WAN link to the router drops, the Deco mesh network drops. There is NO SOLUTION other than to buy a new mesh system taht...

@TP-Link says "We have also implemented enhancements on certain models" It's been over 3 years now since TP-Link admitted this BUG. It has not been fixed, as confirmed by so-called customer support...

@TP-Link I agree with the latest poster. It doe NOT make sense for TP-Link to leave this bug in their devices AND tell the customer they can suck it up or go elsewhere. I have now switched to Orbi...
