Tuesday
Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.6

Greetings - I'd like to provide whatever info I can to help troubleshoot this issue, will you please let me know what info and logs I can provide?

I have 130 devices, mainly IoT controls, connected to my 8-node Deco network. (6) BE65 units (Costco) and 2 X50-Outdoor units.

Nothing on my network has any issues with solid connections other than devices based on the ESP chips. The 3 devices I have are constantly and consistently disconnecting and reconnecting, typically every 30 seconds to 2-3 minutes. I have exhausted my ability to try anything else as I have already tried: forcing them to a specific node, static IP, 2.4GHz only, IoT and Guest networks, moved the devices to different areas, and so on... This has been happening since my Deco units were purchased and installed several months ago. Nothing has changed on my end and firmware updates have not changed the issue.

Please let me know, and thank you.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

Have you tried to enable "High Capacity Mode" to set each Deco using different 2.4 GHz channels for mobile devices?

Please also try to disable "Beamforming" and "Fast roaming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced;

Then turn off "Mesh Technology" for these 3 ESP Devices

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Thank you very much for the reply. I have Beamforming and fast roaming off, failed to mention those settings. I've had them turned off for many months while trying to solve this issue. Same with Mesh connection to the ESP devices.

The one setting I've not tried is High Capcity Mode. I've been hesitant to try it becasue one of my X50-outdoor units is wirelessly connected to another X50-outdoor unit (which is on Ethernet backhaul). That first X50 is at my barn running automations and equipment for animal feeding, doors, and lights, etc. I was concerned flipping that mode on may disconnect that remote X50, however it shows a Strong signal (2.4GHz/5Ghz) back to the house, so perhaps it will stay connected using 5GHz.

I'll have to plan a day for that test when I can monitor the situation more closely in case I need to intervene with potential disconnects affecting my barn.

Will a setting for assigning different 2.4GHz channels for mobile devices become visible after changing to High Capacity mode?

Currently I only see that option under Wi-Fi Settings Advanced per network, not per node or device.

Thanks again!

Hi, Thanks for the update.

I'll escalate the case to the engineers and check whether they have any other suggestions.

Please check the email #TKID250324324 later for further assistance.

"High Capacity mode" doesn't assign different channels for each mobile client. It is more like the 2.4 GHz band broadcasted by each Deco mesh unit will automatically use non-overlapping channels.

Best regards.
