Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.8.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 220512 Rel.41022n

I have a number of ESP8266 devices around the house, some with my own code (Arduino IDE), some with Tasmota and some with ESPHome. I've noticed that since I did a firmware upgrade a few weeks ago some will not connect to WiFi. If I reboot (power cycle) the VR2800 then they will connect and stay good unless I power cycle them!

They all work on the 2.4GHz band, I have WPA/WPA2 Personal (Recommended) security and Version & Encryption are set to Auto (they were WPA-PSK and AES but I read on another thread that Auto might help - I hasn't).

Any thoughts?

  @Graham307

What you can do to confirm a firmware issue is to go back to your original wireless security and encryption settings.

Revert to the previous FW release and check if everything works as it was before upgrading the router FW.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".

  @terziyski I did just that today and so far one of the ESPs that had the issue connected and has stayed connected for around 12 hours now. Another is not, so mixed success. More time will tell.
