Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20240830 Rel. 50008

Context

  • My setup contains 1 Root Deco connected to 3 other Decos via Ethernet backhaul.
  • There are about 10-15 concurrent online devices in my network, 3 of which are IoT devices, most of them are inactive most of the time (TV, PC, other phones...).
  • Only my phone actively uses the internet when I play game.
  • I play Wild Rift on my phone, when this happens, the game disconnects for about 1-2 seconds then back to normal.
  • I sit really close to the Deco when playing game, about 0.5m.
  • The Deco's leds do not turn red when this happens (all of them)

What I tried

  • Disabled Fast Roaming
  • Disabled Beamforming
  • Disable Mesh Technology
  • Use 2.4Ghz Wifi only
  • Assign a fixed IP for the phone via Address Reservation
  • Disable Randomized Mac in phone's Wifi settings

@David-TP I ended up replacing my Main node and media converter. The disconnection was gone. The error is still there but looks like it is not related to the disconnection. So I think we can call it a day and close this thread. Thanks for your support!

  @Catrius

Hi, welcome to the community.

It is suggested to set the Connection Preference for the mobile phone, such as the 5GHz band to the nearest Deco X60.

How to select a preferred signal source on the Deco App

Then set the mobile phone to "High Priority" under QoS.

After that, please refer to this link to set IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4:How to change DNS server settings on my Deco

However, In case it didn't help, could you please help me check the following details:

1. Can I have the model number/OS of the mobile phone?

-Can you consistently reproduce this issue on the mobile phone?

2. Can I have some pictures of the network map on the Deco APP, such as:

-Please help me find the model number of the network switch if there is any.
