Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20241115 rel.17800

Dear customer support representative,

I have a tp-link BE900 and a BE805 at home, and I am trying to set up an EasyMesh setup using them.

I would like to use the BE900 as the main router and the BE805 as the satellite, but the latest firmware for the BE900 does not allow you to enable EasyMesh in AP mode, so I have the BE805 as the main router and the BE900 as the satellite router.

However, I found that even with the above setup, the BE900 (satellite router) does not mesh the MLO SSID.

In addition to the normal SSIDs of 2.4GHz and 6GHz, the satellite BE900 transmits the same SSID on separate channels for 5GHz-1 and 5GHz-2, but for some reason, the MLO SSID cannot be found even though it is set on the BE900 side.

Is this the correct behavior for the current BE900 EasyMesh satellite?

Is it possible to use Mesh MLO with the combination of BE805 and BE900?

I would like to use the BE900 as the main router and the BE805 as a satellite, but will there ever be a firmware release that supports EasyMesh in BE900 AP mode?

In this state, I'm feeling pretty disheartened, even though I bought such an expensive machine.

Hi  @momopoem,

Unfortunately, there is no corresponding beta firmware to implement BE900 to create an EasyMesh network in AP mode.

For the expansion of MLO network, we plan to gradually expand MLO network, guest network, IoT network, etc. to satellite routers in the same way as main network in the future.

For your needs, we have already fed back to the relevant technical staff, and we suggest you pay more attention to the firmware update of the official website or the automatic update of the device firmware.
