Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.7.6 Build 20240305

Hi,

So my TP-Link Deco M5 system that has been extremely stable has unfortunately become very unstable.  The two mesh nodes (not the main node) which are connected via ethernet backhaul keeps dropping out (from solid green to flashing red).
I have tried removing them and adding them back in, but the same issues keep happening.

I notice that the firmware version is 1.7.3 on the two nodes, but I am not able to update them to 1.7.6, I guess this might be one of the root causes.

Please advice on how I should proceed

 I have solved the issue.  It turns out my tenant, who has his own separate apartment had reset his wi-fi router and it started acting like a second router on my network (his is connected to the same switch as I am).  Helping him setting up his wi-fi router again fixed the issues.  Now I am back to a stable network again.

Just an update, I now managed to update the two nodes to the latest firmware. The issue still remains..

@Marty_Freez Try changing the ethernet cables used for backhaul

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it

  @Marty_Freez

I suggest using the wireless backhaul and see if it's more stable
