Model: RE700X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.4

Is it normal for the 5 GHz to periodically drop out? I'm trying to work out if my extender is faulty - no indication of weak signal from the unit.

I've just done a firmware update to see if this helps.

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know the model number of your Host router?

Did the 5GHz LED turn off when the 5GHz connection dropped out?

How often did the 5GHz connection drop out?

It is also suggested to change the wireless channel on the host router to channel 36/48 to see whether it helps improve the connection.

If you are creating an EasyMesh/OneMesh system via RE700x, It is also suggested to temporarily disable EasyMesh/OneMesh.

By the way, May I know how long you have had RE700x? Did the disconnection start recently?

Thank you very much and best regards.
