Model: Archer AX1800
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20230219 rel.69802(5553)

Hi,

I've had the archer AX1800 for close to 2 years and randomly i've experienced connection drops (internet light going orange) and getting disconnection on devices connected to the lan.and wireless.

I;m using the router in Wireless access mode since i;m using One Mesh - Easy Mesh and couldn't figure out if i can run the mesh setting with the router in Access Point mode.The reason i'm saying this is because the network topology is this router being connected to a root router that is connected to the modem such as this:

Internet ----- Modem ----- Root router (Router1) -----  wireless devices

                                                                           ----- AX1800 (Router2) ----- Ethernet devices

                                                                                                                ----- wireless devices

                                                                                                                -----  RE700X (Extender One mesh) ----- Wireless devices

This issue could randomly happen at any time and frequency, and it can briefly disrupt the network for a few seconds or a couple of minutes, and then mantain steady for a day or a couple of days until it happens again.

I've set the connection type as static IP to the router 2(ax1800), and as well designated a static IP for the router2 (ax1800) in main router (Router1), and that helped for quite a while until it started again.

I've rebooted.the router and checked for new firmware with no luck.

These are the logs shown by the AX1800:

i should remark that when this happens the router1 internet connection remains active and can verify this since i have a laptop connected (wirelessly) to router 1 running a ping to 8.8.8.8 without failing, but the pings to the router 1 from my computer connected to router 2 did fail.

  @Noobnetwork

Hi, when the issue happens, it always recover automatically in a few seconds/minutes, no need to restart the Router 2 to get internet again, right?

If you use Dynamic IP as the WAN connection type of the Router 2, will there be still WAN IP address when the issue happens? If so, you could try to configure DNS servers manually to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on Advanced->Network->Internet page:
