TL-WR902AC don't want connect to 5GHz network
I have a FritzBox 7590 AX with 1200 AX repeater.
The TP-Link router is in Client Mode. When doing a WiFi scan, it only finds 2,4GHz networks and his own 5GHz network.
How can that be? Very strange behavior....

Try setting your FritzBox 7590 AX 5GHz radio on a wireless channel 36 and test if the TL-WR902AC will see its SSID.

Yes, this works. But this is not the final solution. If I would set it permanently in my network I would have other problems.
So I have to live with 2,4GHz connection
Thank you!

The issue is that TL-WR902AC doesn't support DFS channels and if you want to use it in a setup like this, you'll have to avoid these channels on the FritzBox 7590 AX.

Hi,
I think this one should fulfill your requirements. It supports Client Mode and also DFS channels.

@terziyski HI, I purchased a TL-WR902ac, I should replace a client that receives a hidden ESSID in EE802.11a mode (old 5Ghz USA).
I don't know if it uses channel 36 and I don't think it uses DFS channels, do you think this router could work?
Thanks

According to TL-WR902AC specifications for 5GHz band ( IEEE 802.11ac/n/a 5 GHz ) it should.
Once you've received the device you'll know for sure.
