Model: TL-WR902AC
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 0.9.1.0.3 v0089.0 Build 230506 Rel. 55329n(4555)

I have big trouble connecting my TL-WR902AC to the internet with a 3G/4G dongle.

Under Network I have only WAN, LAN and MAC Clone. there is no 3G/4G network.

I have tried with 3 different USB-Dongles, which all works directly connected to a PC..

Please help.

Hi  @f11942,

You can also refer to TL-WR902AC_V4_User Guide, the settings can be found in the router mode settings guide.

Hi,

While the TL-WR902AC is in router mode (mode switch set to "Share ETH") log into the admin webGUI, go to the "Operation Mode" menu and switch it from "Wireless Router" to "3G/4G Router".

Thank you for quick respons :O)

Should I put it back to "share hotspot" ?

I only ned to get access to internet from the Ethernet port, not the Wifi

You could try and see what happens, but I think switching the TL-WR902AC to Hotspot mode will probably deactivate the 3G/4G USB dongle.

If you don't need the Wi-Fi, then you can disable wireless via the "Wireless x GHz" menus.

I really should not have tried switching back :O(. Now again I can't get it to work on the internet with 3G/4G. Tried changing the mode as you suggested, it then reboots and then my PC gets no IP address more. If I put Mode-Switch back on Hotspot, my PC gets an IP again, but then 3G/4G is not an option again :O(

Set the switch to "Share ETH", reset the TL-WR902AC (either via webGUI or Reset button). Then log in, switch Operation Mode to 3G/4G and try again if it works now.

Have tried that. The problem is that when it is on SHARE-Eth mode, I get no net-connection and can't log in and change to 3/4G mode. I get a default IP 169.254.188.124. I can only access the device's IP: 192.168.0.1 when I'm in "Share hotspot" mode and there I don't have the option to put it in 3/4G mode :(

How are you connecting to the TL-WR902AC ?

After a reset the TL-WR902AC will start up in "Wireless Router" mode when the switch is at the "Share ETH" position, which means the Ethernet port works as a WAN port and therefore the TL-WR902AC can only be accessed via Wi-Fi.

Hello again!
Yes, I just found that out. Have always connected my PC via ETH. Then tried to let it connect via WiFi and then I could change it to 3/4G :O) Thanks for the help
