Hi,

Archer AX50 is not in the official openwrt supported devices database.

I downloaded GPL code for Archer AX50 from tp-link site. The code includes openwrt folder and this makes me to think ARCHER AX50 may run under openwrt.

Can someone provide me a compiled image file for installing openwrt on Archer AX50 (it may be an old version of openwrt , does not matter)?

As is the case with many commercial routers, TP-Link's firmware for the Archer AX50 is based on OpenWrt source code.

That is also the reason why the have to publish the source code that includes their own modifications to the public. (as per the rules of the GPL)

 

However, there is currently no actual OpenWrt firmware available for the AX50.
