Range extender mode?

Model: Archer C54
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: latest

When a TP-Link router is in Range extender mode, does it allow Ethernet only devices to connect to its LAN ports to access the extended network? If that is the case, Archer C54 is almost a perfect router for me, if only it had Gigabit ports. Are there any other TP-Link routers that support Range extender mode and also have Gigabit ports?

In RE mode both wired and wireless clients can have internet access through the extended network. Archer C64 is the gigabit version of C54 for example.

But seems like Archer C64 doesn't support Range Extender mode. At least it's not shown on the product page.

No, it doesn't. I am using it in AP mode.

But it does support WDS Bridge in router mode though, which you could use similarly as RE:

Archer C6/A6 v2/v3 and Archer C6U support WDS and they're equipped with gigabit ports as well.
