Hi, I don't see any firmware available to download for the TP-Link VR1600v (both v1 and v2 as I use both versions at different sites) and want to double check that this isn't something that TP-Link can provide and if its possible to update the firmware so full access can be provided.

This modem was provided to me by TPG. I have spoken to the TPG technical team who told me that I have to speak to TP-Link.

But my understanding is that this modem is pretty exclusive to TPG and other ISPs and they are the only ones with the access to update the firmware.

Is it correct that TP-Link can't provide me (and others) the latest firmwares for this modem and we have to go through our ISP?

If TP-Link have the firmwares, are there "non TPG" firmwares available that allow full access to the modem that can be downloaded?
