Model : Archer C9

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 150916

ISP :

Archer C9_V1_150916

I upgraded to new firmware released today.
Devices fail to connect to internet.
Exactly the same problem as older firmware.
Windows reports "Wifi does not have a valid ip configuration"
Sad. How could TP-link release such firmware. It could brick the router.

Was your Basic Network Map empty?

On your Basic screen, was the Network Map empty?
Were there any Wired and/or Wireless Devices shown on the map and in the tables?
Which version of Windows were you using?
Which browser(s) did you try?
The new firmware seems to be very fussy about browsers.
Did you clear browser cache, history, cookies after the update?
You were very lucky to be able to go back to an older firmware without the C9 being bricked.
Are you back to 150507?
My experience is to be very very cautious about C9 updates after 150507.
Regards and good luck!

Thanks,

All devices failed to connect to internet, including Roku, cellphones... The router seemed connected to internet( blue internet light was on, and not red). I had to hard reset to downgrade. Before upgrading, I put router to factory default, and after upgrading, I manually entered settings.

After doing this I was able to connect to my C9 router with the new firmware,
After installing the new firmware, erase browser cache & history.
Reboot PC.
Try connecting to router with browser.
Please reply with what happens.
Regards...

I have having some problems with the 2.4 band on my laptop after upgrading to the latest firmware. What i did was factory reset afterwards and i haven't had any problems since. You could try that.

Does the newest release offer any interface changes/improvements?
