Wired mesh using same SSID?

Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20241230 rel.20267(4A50)

I would like to ask if is it possible to connect wifi extender " RE330" to my main router with ethernet cable and let the extender to broadcast wifi with the same name as the main router's wifi, so my devices can automaticaly reconnect from router to extender without changing networks. This looks like normal mesh with one difference: because my wifi-extender is far from main router I want to connect this two devices with ethernet cable, not just extend current wifi signal from main router because that is weak. Thanks.

Hi @Suomi422,

RE330 doesn't support EasyMesh network via wired backhaul. Currently, only the models of the thread below support EasyMesh network via Ethernet backhaul: EasyMesh Range Extenders Start Supporting Building a EasyMesh Network via Ethernet Backhaul

If it is a new range extender, you can replace it with a device supporting Building Easymesh Network via Ethernet backhaul
