How to configure router for remote access to a connected DVR

Model : TL-MR3420
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version : latest
ISP : Three
I can see my DVR on the local network but cannot view it remotely. Router ip is 192.168.123.254 and DVR ip is 192.168.123.75. I have done port forwarding on the router using port 99. Please help.
