Can't connect anymore to Archer BE800
Hi, Community!
I have a problem with my brand new Archer BE800, which I received and installed yesterday.
First, everything seemed to work fine. Today I changed the DNS Address of the DHCP Server to my PiHole DNS Address, which also seemed to work. About an hour later I tried to open the Router interface to enable guest wifi which was currently disabled. But I couldn't enter the router's interface anymore. Neither on its currenet IP Address 192.168.1.1, nor its default address 192.168.0.1, nor on http://tplinkwifi.net. Instead of the user interface I just got an empty screen. I tried this with different browsers, different devices and cleared the browser cache, still no change (at that point I still could connect to the router and browse the internet).
Then I restarted the router. After that I couldn't connect to the router in any way. The LED screen shows a large exclamation mark. There is no Wifi to connect anymore, and with an ethernet cable I don't get any connection at all, neither with dhcp, nor with manually entered IPs.
I tried restarting the router, leaving it powered down for an hour, all to no avail. Then I tried to factory reset it, which doesn't seem to do anything. I pressed the button for 10-12 seconds, then the device seems to reboot, but after a few seconds again the exclamation mark and still no wifi or ethernet connection possible. I also waited a while, which didn't solve anything.
Then I pressed the reset button for over 20s, and the LED Screen changed to a download icon. Now I was able to connect to 192.168.0.1 and it showed a page to upload a firmware file. So I downloaded the latest firmware and updated it. After the firmware update I restarted the router, but still I can't connect to it at all. Resetting also still doesn't help.
I'm quite at my wit's end and don't know what else I can try to get the router working again. Any help is very much appreciated!
Regards, Joel
