Top of the line WiFi 6E Tp-link Deco XE200 - No SQM and Buggy basic QoS that doesn't work?
Honestly very disappointed that the top of the line WiFi 6E system Tp-link have to offer doesn't even have SQM like the Eero. It even have a 2.2Ghz quad core router cpu. what a waste.
To make matters worse, VolP, video conferencing, and gaming have bad ping spikes on 5Ghz good solid connection when multiple devices are using the internet at the same time (with 3gbps symmetric fiber optics internet plan, more than ample bandwidth). In an effort to resolve this, I try to do with what I can with the luckluster QoS but the deco app is horrible and glitchy, like it was made by inexperienced interns. For example the option to enable "network service priority" (application type specific) QoS (i.e. VoIP) sometimes show up in the QoS page and sometimes does not. But not like it matters because I can't enable it and it will never save. It will attempt to save then produce an error message everytime saying "fail to save your settings, please try again later". I don't even know if it's a failure of the horrible app or the failure of the top of line deco system to support such a basic feature that's shown to me. App is on latest version. Deco XE200 all on latest software version. Already restarted app, restarted deco, factory reset. Same issue.
Don't bother suggesting Tp-link tech support, There's only 1 person working at TP-Link tech support live chat at any-given time (and I'm not exaggerating because I often have to wait 20-40 minutes in the queue with 1 person in front of me) and they copy and paste from a common issues script after a long wait, so if the problem is outside basic troubleshooting, they are clueless too.
