Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.6.1 Build 20241010 Rel. 65389

Hello

I have a 3 node Deco mesh

3 x X55(1.0) firmweare 1.6.1 Build 20241010 Rel. 65389

Main unit connected drectly to router, two sattalite units connected by ethernet

The system is stable most of the time but randomly devices lose connection (2 or 3 times a day), I have tried changing Fast Roaming, Beamforming and Mesh settings which doesnt seem to solve the problem.

I have observed on one occasion a satalite unit LED changing to flashing red, whilst devices lost connection, a few seconds later with no intervention it went back to green, but dont know if this always happens when devices loose connection.

Any advice gratefully recieved.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have the model numbers of the devices that randomly dropped out?

-Have you noticed where the unstable mobile devices are mainly connected to a specific Deco X55?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi David

Devices can be attached to any device either the main or one of the satellites when they drop out.

all sorts of devices drop out including:

Google mini (1st gen)

Samsung Galaxy tab A8

Iphone 12

Microsoft Surface Pro 9

Iphone 16

Lenovo ThinkPad (8th Gen)

Hi Dave

Having done more testing I think the entire node is dropping its connection, the light flashes red and all devices drop (but I only notice those that are streaming at the time) and then it comes back on - few seconds later. I also noticed that one of the satellite nodes also loses its Ethernet back haul connection and switches to WiFi back haul. If I unplug and replug the Ethernet cable it works again.
