Model: Archer BE900
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20241115 rel 17800

Hello everyone, I am writing to you because since I bought the device a couple of months ago this event has been increasing and it is probably a hardware issue.

I have seen that there are some similar cases but I am reporting it anyway to see if anyone can help me.

The router suddenly restarts for no reason, sometimes it never restarts for a day, sometimes a couple of times or sometimes often.

I have restored the factory settings to see if this solves it and not much has changed, according to the app I have the latest version of the firmware.

Has anyone had a solution from TP-Link or is it a hardware problem and just a failed product?

@sgt_nantz

Thank you for posting in the community.

Please help verify whether there is any specific activity in your network that triggers this auto-restart. And it's suggested to go through the troubleshooting suggestions to check if any will help resolve it:

What can I do if my router keeps rebooting itself?

Meanwhile, I will message you a debug firmware for the Archer BE900 V2, and please help collect some log for further investigation if the issue persists.

  @Kevin_Z

This is the first time that I face with this type of issue with a router.

The router is connected to the network using the cable and power supply that came in the box, it is placed in an elevated position near a door so it is properly ventilated.

I recently factory reset it to see if it would work but no, additionally it does not have the option to reboot and even has the option to search and install a new firmware disabled since I do it manually.

So far in the log did not show an error or something to help me to share it but it seems strange because suddenly, it loses connectivity and the device shows the symbol as if it had rebooted.

As far as wireless is concerned, it is using the smart connect unifying the 2.4 and 5ghz networks. Additionally I have Ghz active.

Both the MLO network and the Guess network are disabled.

Firmware Version

1.1.3 Build 20241115 rel.17800(5553)

@sgt_nantz Thank you very much for all the details.

Does the issue persist after you installed the provided debug firmware on the BE900?

Could you please provide more details while running the debug firmware?

1. What is the detailed network layout, are there any EasyMesh routers/extenders connected to the BE900?

2. How many devices are regularly connected to the BE900, and what are they?

3. Have you noticed any specific activities that trigger the reboot?

4. When the wireless signal disappears, does the symbol display as shown below?

Does the issue persist after you installed the provided debug firmware on the BE900? 1 time. I attached in the last message the log after the event happened

Could you please provide more details while running the debug firmware?

1. What is the detailed network layout, are there any EasyMesh routers/extenders connected to the BE900? connected to the router is a 3-pack of Deco XE75 Pro which is used as an AP, one of them has a 5-port gigabit switch, but the Decos cannot be added by the EasyMesh functionality because they are not compatible yet

2. How many devices are regularly connected to the BE900, and what are they? at least 25 ( Desktop PC, laptop, IoT Devices, Lights, among others )

3. Have you noticed any specific activities that trigger the reboot? No

4. When the wireless signal disappears, does the symbol display as shown below? Yes, most of the time I've checked yes.

Tuesday

  @Kevin_Z

Thank you for your support.

In the last few days I have applied a factory reset of the device and I found a new firmware version that in detail mentioned this issue. I applied it and for two days it was working fine until today when it crashed a while ago.

Returning to the previous topic of the image that shows, the first one that shows is the image of the tp-link logo and then this one.

But well I will follow the issue with the technicians to see if we can find a solution.

  @meni

Still nothing, I have sent several logs to the technical team but still no response.

I'm starting to believe that either it's a defective batch that they released or since it's a relatively new product they didn't test it thoroughly.

I am also starting to evaluate buying another one from another brand.

@sgt_nantz Thank you very much for all of the logs you have collected in your network and we appreciate it.

I believe the engineers are analyzing the logs and trying to provide a solution. I will check with them and request them to get back to you as soon as possible.
