Hello,

 

I have 3 Archer C58HP connected as Access point via ethernet LAN divided in 3 floors. I have 500 Megas on my main router provided by my ISP, but 100 Megas on my 3 C58HP routers because they don't support gigabit LAN. What should I do? Connect all routers via Wi-Fi on Repet mode or router, to avoid the speed LAN limitation? Or buy 3 new routers with gigabit WAN/LAN support, and also, with new features like WIFI 6, MU-MIMO, mesh, beamforming. I didn't see newer routers with 9db antenas in total like this C58HP. What should I do, or which new model should I buy, in order to have internet in my 3 floors at full speed?

Placing a router for optimal reception and performance - details.

From my experience you can cover a 100 sq.m. floor with one Archer C64 in AP mode, placed in floor center.

Archer C64 also supports Easymesh in AP mode via ethernet backhaul - this could be of use if your main router supports Easyemsh too.

If you want to have a budget solution with the newer Wi-Fi 6 standard you can use Archer AX12 in AP mode.

Unfortunately the Archer C64 is not available in my country ¿? The antennas are as tall as the Archer C58HP? I'll go with the Archer AX12 in AP mode. Thank you very much for your reply.

Check this comparison - it may shed some more light on your choice of a router.

Pay attention that AX20 and C58HP have High-Power FEM ( Improves transmission power to strengthen signal coverage ).

C58HP is rated " 4 Bedroom Houses " unlike the two AX models, but they have more Wi-Fi capacity (more connected devices).
