I have been using the BE550 router and successfully connected it to a remote WireGuard VPN server with seamless site-to-site functionality. However, after updating the firmware to version 1.1.1 Build 20241230, I found that the server can no longer access client devices on the client side (BE550), even though the VPN client configuration has not been changed. Could you please help investigate this issue or advise if there is a way to downgrade the firmware to the previous version?

May I know who is your VPN service provider?

Is there any error message? Please take screenshots of error message and send it here

  @Joseph-TP I built up my own Wireguard VPN server on the ASUS RT-AX52 router. It is set at my other house.

I can reach client on that site, but not in the opposite way. There are no error logs, therefore my guess is that it is caused by my BE550's inability to route it properly.

 

 

This is routing table when I using OpenVPN client

 

But route through VPN interface is missing when I using Wireguard.

  @Rey_VS Hello, wanted to share this thread with you https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/737760 as you might have the same issue myself and the OP of that thread did.  They posted a beta firmware on the last page that may help you, or you might send in a ticket to see if they send you a beta firmware as well.
