Model: Archer VR400
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v00a1.0 Build 220321 Rel.60385n

I have a mixed powerline and range extender setup in my home and, despite factory reset on the whole setup followed by one-by-one attempts at adding them all in a variety of of orders, I am unable to add my two TL-WPA8631 units to OneMesh. They do not recognise that the VR400 v3 supports OneMesh, even though the VR400 v3 shows them as available OneMesh devices to be added.

The 8631 units are: TL-WPA8631p Kit v3 with firmware 3.0.1 Build 20220330 Rel.52768

The router is: Archer VR400 v3 with firmware 1.5.0 0.9.1 v00a1.0 Build 220321 Rel.60385n

Both are the latest firmware available and both are widely advertised as OneMesh compatible devices.

This is making me regret going with an all TP-Link setup "to avoid problems"!

Any and all help will be appreciated, please!

Thanks,

Ted

OneMesh reported on router:

Error on attempting to add either of the TL-WPA8631 units.

OneMesh page shown on both TL-WPA8631p units, denying that the router can support them!
