I attempted to upgrade my BE550 to this firmware remotely while I am overseas. I used the Tether app on my iPhone to select the BE550, and went through the steps to download and upgrade the firmware. Everything seemed to have worked OK, but the device did not come back online. It now shows up in the Tether app as "offline", and I cannot ping my public static IP address any more.
Since I am away from home, is there anything I can do now to access the device remotely? Should I ask a friend to go to my home and reboot the device, will that help?
Any advice on this situation is appreciated.
@SiliconLunch It may take some time to connect back to the internet after the firmware update.
Are you connecting to the BE550 via a VPN connection when you upgrade the firmware?

Buenas tardes.
Gracias.
@Ibero1975 How are the 3 BE550s connected via EasyMesh? Wired or Wirelessly?
Please be aware that the TP-Link EasyMesh system does not synchronize the IoT Network or Guest network settings across the main router and the connected satellite nodes. The EasyMesh satellite nodes will only sync the main wireless network settings.
So could you please confirm if the IoT Network is still working properly on the main BE550? Please check if it is correctly enabled on the web page of the main BE550.

Hello
Just updated my Archer BE550 router to 1.1.1 Build 20241230 rel.20267(4555) version firmware and found that my local network devices can't normally connect via Wi-Fi as before. I have 4 active SSIDs with 2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz and 2.4GHz guest. Before update to the latest firmware version, my laptop was connected to 6GHz SSID and I did not see any connection issues. After update, my laptop can't normally connect to 6GHz SSID and automatically re-connecting to the other one with 5GHz. Same issue with my smarthphone. Before router's firmware update it was connected to 5GHz SSID and after update I'm unable to connect to 5GHz at all, because my smartphone always automatically re-connecting to 2GHz.
@UnrealMan What brand and model is your smartphone? And for the laptop, what is the model of its adapter? Please ensure the driver version is up to date.
Have you noticed any differences in the 6G wireless signal before and after the firmware update? When the smartphone and laptop switch to connect to the 5G network instead of 6G, can they still detect the 6G signal from the router? If you move closer to the router, will they connect to the 6G network?

1. Where there any features removed and no longer accessible to the user with this firmware?
2. Also "Optimized USB sharing performance." ?
What was optimized? I wanted to use the "Media Sharing - View photos, play music and watch movies stored on the USB storage device via the access address." feature but realised it was failing far before the approximate 10,000 files and folder limit of DLNA(ie: important limit information missing from the features product description) so it became useless.
Also, it would not update without deleting the hidden index folder created on the drive.
Can we get more detail on what was meant by this update statement?
@elbaliavAtoN We haven't been notified there are any features have been removed from this 1.1.1 version. Do you notice any features missing? If yes, we can confirm with the development team.
Regarding the 10,000 files restriction with media sharing. This is valid. There is a limit on files set to 10K this is to avoid memory usage issues.

I'm having trouble understanding this concern. Could you please provide more details? Thank you.

I have two problems with this update:
The first is that the WIFI service randomly disappears almost daily. I have the router programmed to restart every day at 01:00am, but even so, some days at noon or in the afternoon, the WIFI stops working... It's a disaster.
The second problem is that the VPN client with NordVPN does not allow browsing on my devices. I can ping, for example, Google (8.8.8.8), but I cannot browse with the PC or with mobile phones. I have tried to factory reset the router several times, but it is impossible to get it to work.
I REQUEST help to solve these problems.

@SantiMarina When the WiFi disappears, did you use a Wi-Fi Scanner or software to scan the wireless signal of the BE550 or did you just try to search for the signal on some wireless clients, such as a phone or laptop? Please try to install software like inSSIDer for Windows or WiFi Analyzer for Android to check if the regular/guest/IoT networks are broadcasting properly. You may try modifying the wireless channels for the 2.4G and 5G and then check again.
For the VPN Client issue, is the status showing connected but you can no longer access the internet once adding a device to the VPN client list? Could you please confirm if you can still connect to the NordVPN server and access the internet by running the VPN Client software on the phone?

Hello @Kevin_Z , Regarding the WIFI, the signal disappears for all the devices in the house, I have not scanned with a wifi analyzer, but it is a fact that there is no wifi until I restart the router.
Regarding the NordVPN VPN client, the service is connected, but when adding devices they cannot browse... BUT THEY CAN PING. With the native NordVPN application on my mobile phone or Macbook I can browse without problems, the problem is only through the router with the added devices.

@Kevin_Z The Tado Internet Bridge has always been powered using the USB cable and the adapter provided by Tado.
As I mentioned earlier, I am currently using a different router on my home network because, after updating my BE550, the Tado Internet Bridge no longer connects when plugged into any LAN port. I have not changed any configuration; I only updated to version 1.1.1.
Thank you.

@DizCronz I am the same issue since updating to version 1.1.1. Previously, my Tado Internet Bridge was working perfectly, but now it no longer works.
I also tried a full reset of the BE550, but I couldn’t resolve the problem.
At the moment, I am forced to use another router to control my heating system.
How can we resolve this situation? THANK YOU.
Could you please confirm how you powered up the Tado Internet Bridge before and after updating the BE550 firmware? From the installation guide, it seems it can be powered up through a USB cable or via the provided adapter or any regular 5V USB power adapter. @DizCronz @Yannick_S Could you please also confirm? Thank you.
Please also check Ethernet connection status of this Tado Internet Bridge on the BE550's web page and show me a screenshot:

During the Wi-Fi downtime, how about the wired connection, is it still active and can you still access the internet when connecting to the BE550 with an Ethernet cable?
I will escalate the case to our support engineers and hope they will figure it out.

Yes, wired connections remain active and normal when the Wi-Fi is not working.
The problem is only with the Wi-Fi signal.
