For two years, I have been testing almost all beta firmware for the AX55, BE550, and now BE800.
I notice many times bugs come from corrupted backups while updating firmware.
Better do a manual backup of settings before installing new firmware.
But if that does not help, the best thing to do after an update is a manual restart of the router to default settings. Or push the manual restart button on the device, update firmware again, and configure everything from the beginning. Just to make sure it's a firmware fault or corrupted backup settings.
Also, while updating, it's good to remove the USB disk from the router if it is connected. (that can make the firmware fail too). Because there are hidden settings files from the last firmware inside the hard drive, and many times the new firmware has some problems with them. In my experience, it can make the router very unstable.

Hello,
first timer here so please excuse any mistake.
I am facing a problem were after the latest update (BE550 v.1), NO-IP DDNS service does not autostart after reboots.
Has anyone face this problem and is there any solution as this is a necessary feature for me.
Also i have just tested and the ddns service does not update also when the modem reboots or when the ISP change the address.
It just states "service not launching" (but checking the log it does not even try to launch).
Once i press manually the "login and save" button it works perfectly fine and it updates the ip address.
Thank you very much in advance

So after further investigation and checking the routers logs i found out that when the router starts it connects to the ISP, gets an ip and pusses it to NOIP servers through the ddns service but having the wrong date and time (30/12/2024 00:00:00).
Immediately after that the router gets the corect date and time and reconnects to the ISP getting a new ip but this time it does not start the DDNS service so NOIP servers stay with the previouse IP wich is obviously wrong.
At the end of this the router is fully booted and only then you can log into it.
Now after an hour and every concequent hour after that the router runs the scheduled ddns update and pusses the correct ip address to NOIP servers.
One more thing, if i manualy disconect and reconnect to the ISP the DDNS updates the IP correctly so It is only in every reboot or power outage that the DDNS ip stays wrong for 1 hour.
Any idea on why this is happening with firmware 1.1.1 (it did not happen with 1.0.11 and 1.0.12)?
Thanks
Stavros

@DizCronz I am the same issue since updating to version 1.1.1. Previously, my Tado Internet Bridge was working perfectly, but now it no longer works.
I also tried a full reset of the BE550, but I couldn’t resolve the problem.
At the moment, I am forced to use another router to control my heating system.
How can we resolve this situation? THANK YOU.

Hey, do you use Smart Connect or every band separately?
If separately try switching security in 2,4GHz band from WPA3 to WPA2+WPA3 or just WPA2. And check if your device works again.

Could you please confirm how you powered up the Tado Internet Bridge before and after updating the BE550 firmware? From the installation guide, it seems it can be powered up through a USB cable or via the provided adapter or any regular 5V USB power adapter. @DizCronz @Yannick_S Could you please also confirm? Thank you.
Please also check Ethernet connection status of this Tado Internet Bridge on the BE550's web page and show me a screenshot:

This firmware appears to have a bug in the Norwegian translation, it is showing Dutch (?) in some places. Btw, i have wifi7 currently disabled as I don't have any such clients...
@Terje_P Thank you very much for the feedback. I will forward this to the relevant department for review.
If possible, could you please also indicate which parts of the Norwegian translation are incorrect?
