Hello everyone

My device (Oneplus 9 Pro) has a bandwidth of 2400Mbps

But the speedtest can't get beyond about 1250mbit, some times it just starts at 1600mbit and then drops and completes at about 1250mbit

I can guarantee that on other router (AX6000 from asus) speedtest always at 1700mbit stable

BANDWIDTH

SPEEDTEST WITH BE3600

SPEEDTEST WITH ASUS

SPEEDTEST WITH LAN

I have tried changing all possible wifi settings.
Possible solutions?

Hi  @Zak2298,

Did you try a different phone to test the Wi-Fi speed of router 5Ghz?  Please enable 5Ghz guest network for a comparison.

In terms of expected bitrate over WiFi, it depends on several factors such as the WiFi standard (e.g., 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax), the distance between your device and the router, interference from other devices, and the number of devices connected to the network.
To get a more accurate estimate of the expected bitrate over WiFi, you can check the specifications of your router and your device, and consider any potential factors that may impact your WiFi speed.
If you're experiencing slow speed, you can refer to the FAQ:What should I do if my internet connection is slow?

  @Joseph-TP

I have already tried everything, even connecting on IOT network, always same values

Repeat same device on other router manages to do the above

Tried with iPhone 15 Pro Max is returns the same values

Looking at reviews of TP-Link's new Wi-Fi 7 line, Devices in Wi-Fi 6/6E fail to exceed the speed indicated by my speedtests

Very peculiar thing that happens now and then when I do a Speedtest that the meter goes up to 1700mbit and then drops to 1200mbit constant. Like QOS on, but obviously any limitation is off

Hi @Zak2298,

Would you mind to test the link speed of WiFi?  Did you try to change channel and channel width? If you set QoS to maximum, does it have any effect?

  @Joseph-TP

In the topic there is the screenshot with the link speed of the device and it is at the maximum

They attach it again

Already tried to enable QOS and give device highest priority but no improvement

First of all, please answer, why do you need such speeds on one client?

Such routers are bought not so that the speed test can be tested on one client, but so that a large number of clients can be connected within a small area

in fact, the maximum theoretical throughput of both tpink routers at 5ghz is 2882 Mbps

in reality, this speed can be safely divided by 2, which is what you get.

and in the Asus you mentioned the formula is WiFi 6 (802.11ax) (5GHz): up to 4804 Mbps, divide by 2

in general, don't bother with the speedtest, just use it
