Archer BE550 constantly drops connections on both Wifi and Ethernet clients
My satelite router (Archer BE550) easymeshs with my main router (BE800 v1) through wired bankhaul. The main router works well without any disconnection.
However, Archer BE550 constantly drops connections on both Wifi and Ethernet clients while the all the lights on the unit are soild white. It looks the satelite works normally. The issue happens about 3-4 times per hours, and will resume connections after 10 secs.
I have tried to reset both main router and the satelite router to default settings.
I have tried to update the main router to the beta version (1.1.99 Build 20241126 rel.18304(4341)).
I have tried to disable TWT, OFDMA, MU-MIMO and MLO on the main router.
I have tried to disconnects all clients to the satelite, and only my laptop remain connected throught the ethernet lan port, and the wireless connection is disabled in my computer.
I have tried to disconnects all clients to the satelite, and only iPhone (15 pro max) remains wirelessly connected to the satelite.
I believe the issue comes from the uniti itself. I looked up on the internet. I seems the issue has been existing since last year. Before I returned the unit back. I'd like to seek helps from the fourm:
Is there any way I can get accessed to satelite's interface and look up the system log of BE550?
Is there a new firmware of BE550 I can give a try?
Thank you,
Shawn

Thank you for reporting an issue to the community.
To better understand the issue you're experiencing, could you please provide more details?
1. Please reset the BE550 to factory defaults and follow this guide to connect it to the BE800's EasyMesh network via Ethernet.
2. If the connection remains unstable, please clarify how you determine whether the wireless network is from the main BE800 or BE550. Are you located far enough from the BE800 to be outside its wireless coverage?
3. Regarding the LED status you mentioned, the connection on the BE550 should be good. When the issue occurs again and the internet is unavailable, please confirm if your laptop and iPhone (15 Pro Max) are still receiving valid IP addresses from the main BE800. If so, perform a ping test to check connectivity with the gateway.
4. How long is the cable between the BE800 and BE550? If possible, try using a shorter cable.
Currently, the satellite BE550 is unmanageable so we cannot access its system log. New firmware will be released soon to enable the management of the satellite device.

1. I've done this two times by following the guide. No helps at all.
2. BE550 drops both wireless and Ethernet connections. I can tell it from my computer as it loses Ethernet access. My computer is directly wired to BE550 2.5G lan port. In the meanwhile, my iPhone's WiFi signal becomes weaker.
3. When the issue occurs, both my iphone and computer lose connections to BE550 although the router shows full bars of the led lights.
My computer shows "re-connecting to Ethernet" icon, and Ethernet port/jack which connects to BE550 stops displaying sold connection light and flashing activity light - both lights are off on the computer end.
My iPhone shows 2/3 bars of WiFi signals even after I re-sign into my WIFI SSID. The BE550 unit is 1 meter away from my iPhone in the same room. No obstacles in between. Speed test shows high lattency and low internet speed. Both weak wifi signial and speed test proves that my iphone connects to the main router, instead of BE550 even after I resigned.
Tether also indicates BE550 is offline.
After a half minute, both my iphone and computer resume connections to BE550. Iphone shows full bars of signals when I resign into my wifi. My Iphone reaches to full internet spped as normal.
4.The cable between BE550 and BE800 is roughly 35ft (10 meter) away. Cat 6. The unit replaced my old wifi 6 router last week. I had never encoutered the same issue with my wifi 6 router since last week. The disconnection issue started from the day one when I replaced the my old router with BE550.
I also notice that since when I disable MLO SSID on my main router, the disconnection has reduced to once per hour. It used to happen very often like 4 times per hour with MLO SSID on.
When wll the new firmware be released? Is it possible if I can get it soonner?

Thank you very much for the detailed information.
I've sent you a private beta firmware via PM, please install it on the BE550, and confirm if the connectivity will be stable.

Hi
Im running the same setup as JFDSD and also notice my wifi drops on clients connected to the BE550 and it shows offline in the Tether app. Can I try the beta firmware as well?
Thanks
