Firmware Download
Before the Upgrade
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the pre-release firmware!
(2) For the sake of insurance, it's always recommended to save a copy of the router Backup Config file before upgrading or downgrading.
(3) You may follow the guide to upgrade the firmware of your router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers.
(4) This pre-release firmware for Archer BE800 V1 can be applied to all versions (EU/US/JP/TW/etc.).
(5) This version of software can be degraded to the previous version.
(6) To use the new 3-band MLO connection, both the router and client device must support Wi-Fi 7 and 3-band MLO. Please note that most Wi-Fi 7 smartphones and network adapters may only support 2.4GHz + 5GHz or 2.4GHz + 6GHz when connecting to the MLO Network.

BE800 in AP mode wite RE800BE as satellite
I have issues with:
- MLO not extended on satellite (one MLO ssid with AP, another with repeater)
Extending the MLO Network via EasyMesh is currently not supported and our development team will continuously improve the EasyMesh implementation in future updates.

I have issues with:
- Samba server for USB drive not visible by windows 11
Did it work before the firmware update?
How about accessing or viewing the USB drive from another computer or phone, does it work?
What is the brand, capacity, and format of the USB drive?

I have issues with:
- My printer (only 2.5 ghz wifi) do not work properly on MLO, more stable on a simple 2.5 wifi on a third party AP.
Does the printer connect reliably to the main 2.4G network on the BE800 (not the MLO)? If so, it may not perform well with the new MLO network. In that case, it’s best to keep it connected to the main 2.4G network.
BTW, what's the brand and model of the printer?

2 BE800 in AP mode, wired backhaul. When trying to enable EasyMesh on the satellite one I get the "Change to Satellite Router mode?" prompt, which I confirm, but then the "Joining..." progress bar just goes to 100% without ever finishing or any indication of an error. In the main router, the satellite one does not pop up when looking for satellite routers. Any hints?
Edit: What worked is a factory reset of the satellite router, and then trying to add it straight away from the main router.
To join the EasyMesh network, you need to factory reset the satellite router first (Just like you've already figured out).

However, discovered another issue - the LED screen settings are not synchronized. I have a custom text set up on the main router, but the satellite one still shows the default one.
This may not be supported. I will confirm with the development team.
BTW, I assume this doesn't work either on previous versions. Could you please confirm? Thank you.

Kevin Is there any chance to let us use and choose different DoH servers than the preconfigured ones ?
And on MacOS Sonoma clients if the private address wifi is turned off DoH/Dot works but if the Private WiFi address is turned fixed or rotating then the DoH/DoT does not work

@Kevin_Z I see the same behavior with the older firmware. That the LED Screen is not synched on the easy mesh node.
I have two be800 routers. The one be800 setup as easy mesh node over ethernet backhoul don't sync the LED Screen from the main router.
It is also not possible to change the LED screen on the easy mesh node.
It should be either possible to sync from the main router or it should be possible to set it individually on the easy mesh node.

@Kevin_Z I have now installed the Pre-Release Firmware on my two BE800 Routers. I hope it probably solves the sudden reboots I have experienced in the short time I have the two BE800 active with the older firmware. The main router suddenly has rebooted and I have lost internet connection for 2 to 3 minutes.
One of the BE800 is as main router and the other as satellite easy mesh configured.
One issue or inconvenient I see on the one configured as a satellite with the pre-release firmware is, that it renew its IP every Minute.
Here a some entries from the log.

Thank you for your feedback.
Does the reboot issue get resolved via this pre-release firmware? Could you please confirm?
Regarding the automatic IP address renewal by sending requests to the main router, the satellite router must maintain an active connection with it. This feature will be optimized in the upcoming firmware update, which is expected to be available in a week or two. Please wait patiently.

@Kevin_Z Hi Kevin. As it is not a long time since I have installed the pre release firmware, I can't be 100 percent sure.
But so far it looks promising that the sudden reboots not happen anymore.
About the many dhcp request of the be800 in satellite mode. Do you mean that it will be solved in a next firmware?
Another thing I have noticed on the satellite be800. The LED screen there shows now only a exclamation mark "!" and not even anymore the default symbols.

@jp23 Happy New Year.
Are you referring to the Whitelist or Blacklist? I assume you can add up to 64 devices to the Whitelist at the moment and 32 to the Blacklist.
I cannot say for sure this number will be enlarged but I will forward your request to the relevant team for consideration.
