Deco DHCP
Deco DHCP
Hi Folks. We all know there is no way to disable the Deco DHCP (absolute junk I know). I've been using the hack to fill the dhcp pool with fake registrations in a hope to exhaust the deco dhcp and run my own dhcp server, It partially works for me. In my case clients connected to iot and mlo ssids get addresses from my dhcp. The 2.5/5ghz and 6ghz ssid connected clients are NOT able to get addresses. Is there anyone out there using the hack with complete success?
I'm completely disappointed with tplink and its implementation. I expected more and will move away from its ecosystem. This is a feature that should be available on any router.

@SteveWex perhaps you're right. The thing is every cheap router has the ability to turn off dhcp. This is by no means an advanced feature. It makes sense. A simple built in dhcp service for the masses. You want something more complex turn it off and establish your own. Anyway I think this is a lost cause.i still have time to return.

i agree i just brought be64 and its the first thing i tried to disable. Going to have to send it back and look at other vendors. Will look at the hack first just in case.

@MikeMikee it's a real shame. Good luck with the hack. Let me know how it goes.
