Autonegotiation does not working
There is a problem with the autonegotiation on the WAN port. The manual setting in the web interface to 1000Mbit or even 100Mbit is ignored after a restart. The router always connects with the max. data rate 2.5Gbit. Tested with various switches Qnap QSW-2104 and Netgear MS305E.

Hello @Thomrock
The issue seems resolved with the beta firmware provided by our engineers, and an official fix will be included in future updates.
If anyone else encounters a similar issue, please ensure you're running the latest official firmware on the BE550.

Thank you for asking the community.
Are you saying you want to limit the WAN negotiation speed to 1000Mbps or 100Mbps but it always negotiates at 2.5Gbps with the Qnap QSW-2104 and Netgear MS305E? Is there a reason why you want to limit the negotiation speed? Or you're just testing?
Where did you see it negotiated at 2.5Gbps after a restart? On the router web page?
If possible, could you please send us the config file on your BE550, so we may check the basic settings on it? If you're willing to do so, we will send you an email, then you can send us the config file via email.

Yes

My Cat5 cable on the WAN port cannot operate stably at 2.5Gbit.

On the Netgear MS305E on the web interface status page or on the RJ45 status LEDs.
There is now a ticket for the problem from TP-Link Germany (TKID241142983). I can provide the config file if required.

@Kevin_Z Yes, with the beta firmware the autonegotiation works correctly so that the BE559 is usable for me. Thanks for solving this problem.
