Hi everyone,

We're having a problem connecting our tp-link repeater WA850RE to a mikrotik RB941 wireless interface.

The Repeater seems to connect to the router but actually it's just getting the password and the SSID but the repeater itself keeps trying to connect but it cant.

On the Mikrotik side the log says "disconnected, unicast key exchange timeout"

We tried every option from WPA to WPA2, mix and match the Aes and tkip encyption methods but no luck.

The only scenario that it connected successfuly it was when I configured an open SSID on the mikrotik and obviously that's not good at all.

 

How can i fix this? Is there something that we're missing here? or maybe a firmware update will fix this?

Update your RE with its latest FW v1.0.13 from here and test again.

Update your RE with its latest FW v1.0.13 from here and test again.

  @terziyski Thanks for your response.

I wanted to do that, but after reading the release notes, I didn't see anything that could fix this, and the client was already overwhelmed. As soon as I get my hands on one, I'll test it and let you know the result.
